Another month down and amazingly, October was better than any other month I’ve ever had.
At first glance it doesn’t seem like it was much better than September, but that isn’t necessarily correct.
The main reason for that is although my revenue climbed significantly, so did my expenses because my wife and I are investing heavily in YouTube ads to grow her YouTube channel.
Without her ads and other YouTube expenses, I’d be closer to $24,000 in profit.
But, as I declared months ago when I began to share her website on my income report, this is all part of the same business so I’m going to keep the expenses on knowing that in the future this will be a revenue generating asset.
I get into it more within this report, but to be able to look someone in to the eye and say that my business is making almost $30,000 a month in revenue is surreal.
This month highlights:
- Total revenue for the month was $28,630.39. This figure is astonishing and I don’t have much more to say about it. Though I obviously wanted to be successful with my online business, I never could have imagined reaching this level of success and for that, I’m forever grateful.
- Google Adsense auto ads started on all of my websites and that accounted for the large increase in revenue by about 10%. The funny thing is, I actually tried to turn these off but must have not clicked all the buttons required and needless to say, now I have no intention of turning them off at all.
- Website 5 continues to climb and showed some pretty impressive revenue numbers this month. It’s not exactly where I want to be or where I think this website can get, but I’m pretty happy with the earnings.
- Website 7 made $58.41 this month and this is more than double what it did in September. I’m happy to say that this website continues to grow and I’m starting to see a hockey-stick growth moment on the graph of both traffic and revenue. While I’m not sure exactly how high it can go, I’m really excited to see this website starting to take off.
- My Wife’s YouTube channel is now over 3,500 subscribers and that’s pretty incredible considering she started it on September 25th, 2019.
This month my total income after expenses was $20,374.95 which comes out to $657.26 per day.
Personal Life Update
Again, not a whole lot to report in my personal life.
My wife and I went out for Halloween and stayed busy on the weekends, but nothing we did is really worth mentioning.
We didn’t travel at all and our house is in pretty good shape at this point, so I’m not inundated with home repair projects.
To be completely honest, it’s been pretty easy-going lately and October was not an exception to that.
That’s all for the personal update.
Before I begin the actual report, If you’d like to begin a similar journey as myself and try to create a passive income online business, I recommend you read this write-up I did.
It explains the truth about online business and should help educate you before you move forward with anything.
If this is your first time on my website let me explain a few things about my detailed income reports each month that outlines the money I made (or lost) each month.
I’m doing this for a number of reasons:
1) I strive to be transparent about what it takes to make money online.
2) These reports help me keep track of my own progress.
3) These reports hold me accountable.
Keep in mind, I don’t create these to gloat about my earnings. I create them to help you understand the true “earning curve” of online business.
On a side note, I don’t disclose my actual website URL’s on my reports because I’ve had bad experiences with copycats in the past.
So, in my income reports, you’ll see website generalizations like Website 1, Website 3, Website 5 Website 4, etc.
Now that we got that out of the way, let’s dive into the report.

Website 1 Update
Another month has gone by and yet again this website had its best month ever.
I wish I could sit here and tell you how I’ve done some genius things to make this happen, but that’s just not the case.
Simply put, Google auto ads turned on and increased the revenue for this website pretty significantly. It gave me a 10% boost of revenue for the site and that’s pretty nice for virtually no work.
Other than the revenue increase, we’re finally coming to the end of revising roughly 1000 pages of content that we’ve been working on for the last six months.
The next step for this website is to revise content that has fallen on the SERP every quarter and to begin creating new content again.
It’s a little difficult at this point because I’ve already had so much content written on this website that I’m running out of new ideas. But, as with any website, when I get low on ideasm I just dig a little deeper and find more content to write about.
I think the interesting thing about this website is when you compare 2018 earnings to 2019. I’ve almost doubled the earnings in a single year and quite honestly, I haven’t done a whole lot to make that happen.
Or, at least it feels that way.
I think the biggest difference between last year to this year is how I found new affiliate partners for the website that further monetize areas that weren’t as well monetized before.
I’ve talked about how important it is to try to “squeeze every drop out of a lemon” and I really believe that I’ve almost gotten every drop out of this website.
Obviously, I’m not going to be too upset if that equates to 20-25k in revenue every single month. Not to say that that’s a guarantee, but at this point it’s looking pretty realistic.
Here’s a graph of the last 13 months of progress:
I no longer focus on Udemy and have no intention of going back. They sell my courses for $10 each and I’m just not okay with that.
OHP Website Update
As with last month, I don’t have a lot of updates to give on the website itself.
Most of my time this month was focused on other projects, but I am happy to report that I had a guest post go live on Spencer’s website over at NichePursuits.
It was really cool to connect with him considering it’s someone that I looked up to when I began.
I also have some updates for the related YouTube channel.
First, my revenue increased by about 20% month over month.
I attribute this to a few of my previous videos starting to rank on YouTube which has been a nice passive way of making additional income.
Beyond that, and this one has been really surprising, I received an additional 148 subscribers in the month of October. I really haven’t made a big push other than the few videos that I publish previously, so this growth is definitely a big positive.
The videos I published this month are as follows:
- Inside the Mind of an Affiliate Website Expert – Doug Cunnington Interview Part 1
- Affiliate Website vs Display Ad Website – Which is Better? | Doug Cunnington Interview Part 2
I’ve also been in talks with Jon over at AuthorityWebsiteIncome recently to have him come on the YouTube channel to discuss what he’s up to.
Not sure if all of you know who he is, but he’s also one of the guys that started right around when I did and has done pretty well for himself. In addition to that, he’s also partnered with Spencer in creating Motion Invest which I personally think is a great new platform for those looking to buy or sell the website.
On a side note, they recently updated their platform to make it so that all people can see websites for sale without having to purchase a membership. I think this was the right move as it makes it much easier for people to find out what websites are available at any given time without having to pay a fee to do so.
I’ll be doing a full review of Motion Invest soon and let you guys know what I think about it. But overall, I’m thinking this might be a better alternative than purchasing a site from HumanProofDesigns…..but I’ll elaborate on why that is when I write my review.
Website 3 Update
I was FINALLY able to launch a big update on this website and I’m hopeful that this change will increase the traffic in the future.
Long story short, one of the main functionalities of the website just wasn’t where I felt it should be and I thought it needed to be changed.
I searched around for a lot of different partners and finally found one that I thought was suitable for what I was looking to do.
The problem though is that I have had to go through three different developers to try to get this solution implemented. The way that I want to do it and the functionality that needed to be built wasn’t easy and took quite a bit of time to fine-tune into exactly what I had envisioned.
But the good news is that this has now been launched and now I’m going to sit back and (HOPEFULLY) watch the traffic come rolling in.
With this new partner I’m making a little bit less in affiliate income from my website, but my hope is that an increase in traffic will happen which will thereby increase my overall earnings and cancel out the small loss of affiliate income.
Only time will tell, but as of right now I’m much happier with the way that the website functions and I think it’s much more useful than it was previously.
For future plans, I’m going to monitor the website and possibly do a small redesign. I figure now that I’m focusing on it, I may as well give it a critical eye and use analytics to make some decisions about the user experience.
Here’s a graph of the last 13 months of progress.
Website 4 Update
YoY, this website is still looking like a home run.
I’m going to be sending a seasonal product to Amazon this month that should increase total earnings through the holidays, and I’m pretty excited about that.
This website continues to chug along even though I’ve given it virtually no attention.
I’m still kicking around the idea of having someone revise a number of pages on the website, but I’m not there just yet.
Astonishingly, this website also has an associated Facebook group that has almost 21,000 members.
That’s a huge audience of people who are very interested in this topic and could potentially serve as a nice audience to launch a non-seasonal Amazon product.
I know the opportunity is there, and I know it’s been there for the last two years. It’s just something that I haven’t got around to launching yet, but I still intend on doing so.
Here are my statistics for this website in the last 13 months:
Website 5 Update
October was another pretty solid month with this website and I did absolutely nothing to make that happen.
I have noticed though that because Google auto ads have been implemented, this website is starting to make more money per day than it has in the past.
I think the most interesting thing about this website is how I’m continually seeing affiliate income increase month after month, but it’s all with the same content I’ve had.
In addition to that, none of my “review” posts are ranking well, which makes the increase even more strange.
For now, I’m just going to continue watching, but there might be a situation here where I jump back in and create more content because this website is giving me too many indicators that I should no longer ignore it.
Here are my statistics for this website for the last 13 months:
Website 7 Update
This website had its best month ever by a significant margin and I’ve noticed that the page views have really begun to increase.
In fact, just yesterday I reached over 500 page views in a single day which is much more than I usually get.
I still don’t know the full potential of this website, but I do know that my traffic is increasing and there is a very high ceiling for the traffic potential.
As of now my plan is to continue producing content and investing heavily to grow this thing. I just monetized it in October and so far, so good.

What Do I Plan on Doing in the Next Month With This Website?
As of now, I’m going to stay the course and continue to publish content. I’m beginning to see a bit of a hockey-stick growth on this website and I see absolutely no reason to run a link building campaign at this moment.
I have one planned and think that it would do pretty well, but why try to fix something when it isn’t broken?
For now, I’ll just continue to monitor the analytics and watch this website grow until it hits a plateau.
How Much Money Has This Website Made?
The total earnings so far are $80.88. October was the best month ever and I look forward to seeing what November can bring.
Below is a summary of the website so far:
Website 6 Update
This website is still a work in progress, but it’s starting to show some positive signs.
As I mentioned in the past, this website was hit by a pretty malicious malware attack that resulted in tens of thousands of bad URLs being created.
In October, I took time to dive into search console to remove every single page that was malicious from the Google results.
This wasn’t easy for me to do, and took quite a bit of time, but I’m happy to say that at this point there are absolutely no malicious URLs in the SERP’s for this website.
I probably should create a blog post about this and talk about all the different steps that I took to resolve it, but I just haven’t found the time to do it yet.
Anyway, the reason why I think that is relevant is I personally believe that the attack hurt the website. I think that Google saw a lot of spam pages being created and devalued the website as a whole.
Now that I have removed all of them, I’m starting to see some positive trends in traffic (5% growth MoM) and my hope is that this will continue.
One thing that did slow me down with this website is my primary writer quit suddenly in October because she had some family issues to deal with. While I wasn’t happy to hear it, I completely understood and obviously appreciate all the work that she did for me while she was employed.
Because of this, the website lost about two weeks of production but I’m happy to say that now we have a new writer in place and everything is back to normal.

What Do I Plan on Doing in the Next Month With This Website?
Though we do have some traffic, it still has a lot of room to grow so right now we’re running another Instagram link building campaign and thus far it’s been somewhat successful.
I feel like every time traffic plateaus it makes sense to start building a few links to try to give the website a traffic boost.
That’s my approach for now anyway, and I’m going to stick to it.
Aside from that, were going to continue to publish content on the website. In time, I suspect that this website will be a good earner and still have high hopes for it even though it’s gotten off to a slow start.
Below are the metrics of the website since I’ve tracked it.
Keep in mind, this website is just over a year old, but I only really started working on it in May of 2019.
I think the following table is much more accurate as it omits all of the weird pages that are registering in Google Analytics as traffic because of the malicious attack we experienced a few months back.
Website 8 Update
This website is only one month old and at this point, I haven’t even put the Google Analytics code on it. If you can recall from my previous income report, this website isn’t a project that I’m starting for the near future.
This is a project I intend to work on in 2020.
That said, I definitely should get Google analytics set up and I think I’ll make that a goal in November.
There was some work done on this website in the month of October and though it’s small, we now have a writer and editor in place to push new content out every single week.
As of now, my goal is to have two articles published every week until further notice.

Thalita YouTube Channel
If you’re wondering why my wife’s YouTube Channel is included in my income reports, it’s because it’s all part of the same business. For more details, look at the Thalita YouTube Channel update on this income report when I introduced it.
It was a very expensive month for Thalita’s YouTube channel in October.
In fact, this was a big reason why my income report took a bit of a hit and didn’t look like I made that much.
The main reason why it was so expensive is that we decided to run ads to her channel to try to grow it more quickly than just creating videos and waiting around for years to get subscribers.
Thus far, though expensive, it seems that this is paying off pretty well.
The goal of our YouTube channel is to try to make it so that we can acquire every new subscriber for under a dollar. So far, we’ve been able to hit that number.
I’ve done this by running Google ads to her videos and using the “placements” feature in YouTube to advertise on competitors that are similar to her.
We’ve been able to make it so that the cost per video view is $0.01 in many instances and although all of them don’t end up subscribing, if we can get one out of every hundred to do so, were in good shape.
As of now we’ve spent $3,035.57 and have 3,618 subscribers, so it’s mission accomplished thus far.

Every month, I’m going to reflect back and tell you a few different lessons that I’ve learned. My hope is that the lessons each month will be a cautionary tale for you that makes it so that you don’t make the dumb mistakes that I do along the way.
- Google Auto Ads are Legit: Google Auto Ads increased my earnings by about 10%, so it’s hard to deny whether of not they work. That said, I do feel that they are a bit overbearing from a visitor standpoint at times, so it’s worth testing them…but watch how many are placed and make sure they don’t ruin the user experience.
- Sometimes Websites Just Need Time: As time has gone on, I’ve realized that there are certain times where you just need to simply wait with a website to see what happens. This has held true for PI and for Website 3 and it’s helping me realize just how important patience can be at times.
- YouTube Ads Are Legit: I have never had to run YouTube ads at scale before and now that I’m doing it, I can see how powerful they are. In order to grow her YouTube channel quickly, this is a necessity and thus far it’s proving to be a great investment.
Did I Meet my Goals for October?
Implement solution on Website 3 to try to get better rankings
Done! It took awhile, but I’m finally done with Website 3 project and it has been published.
Implement LinkWhisper on my Websites
I was able to implement Link Whisper on two different websites and so far, so good. I’ve also trained my VA pretty extensively on the software, so this will be something that we continue to use ongoing in my entire portfolio of websites.
Publish Three Videos on YouTube
Fail. I just didn’t have time to publish this many videos, but I did get two on there.
Remove Links to External Websites on CK
Fail, but that’s just because I saw that traffic and earnings are doing well, so I see no need to take this action at this time.
What Are my Goals for November?
Finish Motion Invest Review
I have been sitting on a review for Motion Invest that I slowly put together in October and now I need to finish it. By the end of November, I want to have this review done.
Link Whisper Review
Like Motion Invest, Link Whisper is one of the platforms I believe in and I want to make sure I share my experiences with the software for others. So, in November, I want to finish my review for this software as well.
Get Website 4 Amazon Product Setup
Website 4 Amazon product is sitting at my house ready to ship, so I want to get this done by the end of the month so it’s ready to be purchased by people for the holiday.
